Series
Course Maps & Description
Burke Lake Park hosts several course configurations. The main courses (Shelter C) are mostly paved with a short gravel section and limited elevation gain. The Fireworks and seasonal courses combine paved road with trail — first and last half mile on pavement, middle section on well-maintained trail with some roots. The Running Out of Time 12k adds some hills to the otherwise flat 5k base.
5K/10K (main paved course): Mostly paved path with a short gravel section. Limited elevation gain. 10k is out-and-back twice.
5K/12K (Running Out of Time): Mostly paved with a gravel section. 5k is flat; 12k adds some hills.
5K/10K (Fireworks/seasonal): Combination of paved road and trail. First and last half mile on pavement; trail section has some roots but no major elevation.
Back of the Pack (BOTP)
What is the Back of the Pack (BOTP)? It is not a cut off time, it is actually a series we have geared towards people who average higher than the BOTP listed above. This allows runners of similar pace to compete with each other and get series points.
BOTP Pace: 11:00 min/mile

On Tuesdays we pick our favorite Instagram or Facebook post from the previous race weekend. The winner receives 50% off a future race! Tag us in your race photos.

Rain or shine or sleet or snow. We will email registered runners and post on social media if the race is cancelled, but this is quite rare.
