Course Maps & Description
All courses run on the C&O Canal towpath, a flat light gravel trail with no major elevation gains. The 5k is an out-and-back; the 10k is out-and-back once from Fletcher's Boathouse upstream.
5K: Out-and-back on the C&O Canal gravel towpath from Fletcher's Boathouse. Flat.
10K: Out-and-back once, covering more distance upstream on the C&O Canal.
Back of the Pack (BOTP)
What is the Back of the Pack (BOTP)? It is not a cut off time, it is actually a series we have geared towards people who average higher than the BOTP listed above. This allows runners of similar pace to compete with each other and get series points.

Race medal designs can be viewed on the Friday before the race on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Social Media Challenge
On Tuesdays we pick our favorite Instagram or Facebook post from the previous race weekend. The winner receives 50% off a future race! Tag us in your race photos.

Rain or shine or sleet or snow. We will email registered runners and post on social media if the race is cancelled, but this is quite rare.
